Marine Electrical Products: Enhancing Safety and Reliability
When it comes to marine electrical systems, VETUS stands as a trusted name synonymous with innovation, reliability, and technical expertise. Our commitment to product quality and customer support is unwavering. In this product category, we offer a range of essential components designed to enhance the safety and reliability of your marine electrical systems.
Battery Main Switches Type BATSW
Our Battery Main Switches, Type BATSW, are a vital component for managing your boat's electrical system. These switches, with two positions – "ON" and "OFF" – can be connected to either the positive or negative electric cable, providing you with flexibility. In the "OFF" position, the key can be removed, except for models 150 and 600. VETUS values your safety, which is why we've designed our Model 600 to be watertight, meeting IP 67 standards. Additionally, our Model 250T is a twin-pole switch, capable of making or breaking both the positive and negative cables.
Fuses and Fuse Holders Type ZE
Safety is paramount when it comes to marine electrical systems, and that's where our Fuses and Fuse Holders Type ZE come into play. Type ZEHC is specially designed to accommodate VETUS fuses ranging from 40 to 500 Amps. These fuses are encapsulated in glass to prevent splatter and fire hazards. Our fuse holders also come with a protector cover for added safety. It's worth noting that they can be used in combination with strip fuses of the ZE series, which are slow-blow fuses.
Series/Parallel Switch
Bow thrusters are essential for maneuvering larger vessels, but they often require a specific voltage supply. Our Series/Parallel Switch is designed to address this issue for bow thrusters of 160 and 220 kgf, which are typically available in 24 VDC. This switch allows you to connect them to a 12 VDC onboard supply, ensuring versatility and convenience. When the thruster is operated, the 12 VDC batteries are automatically connected in series to provide the required 24 VDC supply. When not in use, they are linked in parallel to the 12 VDC charging system, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
For ease of installation, our series/parallel switch comes with pre-assembled auxiliary relays, simplifying the connection between the battery bank and the bow thruster. The charging contacts of the series/parallel switch boast a continuous duty rating of 100 Amps and an intermittent rating of 150 Amps at 20% duty. Rest assured, these switches meet the EMC requirements, ensuring compatibility with your marine electrical system.
In summary, VETUS marine electrical products encompass Battery Main Switches, Fuses, and Series/Parallel Switches, all engineered to prioritize your safety, reliability, and ease of use. With VETUS, you can navigate the waters with confidence, knowing that our products are designed with precision and backed by a commitment to quality and customer support. Trust in VETUS to power your maritime adventures.
